Great place to take your children to learn sugar cane syrup making the old-fashioned way. During the Annual Syrup Makin' Day event, they demonstrate how to cook cane juice in the original kettles and show off the steam-powered cane press. Visitors are able to try sugar cane juice, purchase fresh hot syrup, and watch how to spin angora fur used for weaving. There are also demonstrations of original woodstove cooking with homemade biscuits. Lots of fun! Jarrell Plantation Bed and Breakfast on site.
