This is a small park in southwest Georgia offers access to beautiful Lake Seminole, known for boating, fishing, and birding. Visitors can stay in cottages or campsites near the water's edge and enjoy smooth waters for skiing and tubing. Wildlife abounds, with trails leading through diverse habitats, and nearby areas offer hunting opportunities.
Only half of the campground was open as the other half is closed to renovations that have been delayed until Fall. There are no nearby convenience stores, gas stations or grocery stores. Dollar General several miles down the road. No fast food or restaurants.
The camp store has limited supplies available, and service may be slow-paced. The snack bar by the lake has not been opened for 5+ years according to the staff. Despite friendly staff, they may not be quick to accommodate needs. For instance, when requesting an item like a hat, they could not sell it because it had not been entered in computer and employee showed not intent to do so for the sale.

Lots of SUN! Very little shade.
gnats (in great abundance)
fishing
kayaking
large snails
alligators
Unfortunately, this park may not have much to offer if you don't have a boat or a screened room. The lake seemed murky, with few people swimming, and signs warning of alligators. The weather was extremely hot, and there were plenty of gnats, so bug spray is a must. Staff mentioned that vegetation near the shore can impact fishing, but if you have a boat, the fishing is excellent.
On the bright side, the mini-golf was enjoyable, and the cabins were spacious, waterfront, with fantastic views and DirectTV. However, there were only a few campsites available.
At night, the starry sky is breathtaking, but it's essential to have a screened room to avoid being bothered by bugs.
